Joe Dub
Pooretry
I have known Mr. Joe Dub for over 10 years now, and never have I been more proud. He has released an album which can truly be considered his very own: it's a "Joe Dub" solo put out on his own label (Asita) and featuring mostly his own production. And with over 10 years of the rap game under his belt, Joe's got some stories to tell and they materialize dramatically in the 16 tracks on "Pooretry." Whether the song is a hardcore street anthem or a soulful and reflective ballad, Joe's honesty pours heavily throughout the verses - such sincerity is a rare find amidst today's "bigger and better" rap stylings. Joe has plenty of friends, too, so when he needs to catch his breath, he passes the mic to Topic, Ellay Khule (Rifleman), NoCanDo, 2Mex, Akuma, Existereo, Mestizo and Hugh EMC (the Bay area gangsta rap legend). When Joe gets tired of pushing buttons, he passes on the production to Alex75 (SFSM), Presto, Matth (anticon), Kaliyuga Pro (Finland), Aksim and Deeskee. And of course Deeskee delivers another classic and massive posse cut featuring 23 emcees and 3 deejays, including Subtitle, Riddlore, Maleko, Neila, Tommy V, DJ Marz and many, many others. Born in 1975, Joe Dub has introduced himself to the world again, and we're all the richer for it. more info: CD
